Robert Tur says video he shot of the beating of trucker Reginald Denny during the 1992 Los Angeles riots was posted at YouTube without his permission and viewed more than 1,000 times. Tur says in his lawsuit, filed Friday in U.S. District Court, that YouTube is profiting from his work while hurting his ability to license his video.
Give me a F/C|<|//G break! Someone is angry over not being able to make money off crap like this?! This is probably the stupidest lawsuit I have heard of recently. YouTube states that they are fall within Safe Harbor and are therefore safe under the DCMA since they are not responsible for the content posted by users. Who really cares, except Mr. Tur(d)?
